Mr. Smeltz joined Stewart Robbins Brown & Altazan in November 2020 as an Associate. Mr. Smeltz is licensed to practice before all United States district courts and state courts in Louisiana, as well as the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.

Prior Positions
Prior to practicing with Stewart Robbins & Brown, Mr. Smeltz practiced as an associate attorney with Courington, Kiefer, Sommers, Marullo & Matherne in New Orleans. While in law school, Mr. Smeltz clerked for Cimini & Noonan in New Orleans, as well as the Orleans Parish District Attorney. He was also a member of Loyola’s Journal of Public Interest Law, where he drafted a comment on the implications of technology as it pertains to Fourth Amendment search and seizure issues.
